Language & Cultural Studies Programs

At Global Education Services (GES), we offer two options for Short-Term Language and Cultural Studies programs:

  1. International Summer Institute (ISI) at Simon Fraser University
    This program is designed specifically for individuals or small groups who wish to study English with other students from many different countries and backgrounds. [ full details ]

    The International Summer Institute (ISI) at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia offers students the opportunity to study in a safe environment in one of the most beautiful and well-respected universities in North America. The program is designed to bring individual students from around the world together in a flexibly scheduled short-term summer program between July 23rd and August 12th. Below are just some of the highlights of this program option:

    • Choice of two- or three-week programs
    • Individual and small group enrollment (no more than 10)
    • Flexible scheduling from late-July through August
    • Participation in programs with Simon Fraser University students
    • The opportunity to study with a mixture of domestic and international student participants
    • A safe, enjoyable and nurturing university environment
    • A choice of either dormitory or home stay accommodations
    • A desirable and fun location in Burnaby, British Columbia, only 15 kilometers from downtown Vancouver
    • A choice of field trips to Vancouver in Canada or Seattle in the USA

    • Three-week program tuition: CAN$ 2,000.00

  2. Custom-designed program
    This program is designed for cohesive groups (such as high school, university or business groups) who prefer to arrange their program with their specific needs in mind. [ full details ]

    Our Custom Short-Term Group Programs are designed to offer Jr. High School, Senior High School, University and business groups the opportunity to have a program arranged with the content, excursions, accommodations, and price organized specifically for the groups needs. These programs are hosted on university campuses in Canada, Australia and the United States.

    Highlights:

    • 2, 3, 4 or 5 weeks of instruction, includes all study materials
    • Highly Qualified Instructors
    • All meals
    • Airport transportation (pick-up and drop-off)
    • Field trips to popular destinations, depending on hosting campus location, including transportation
    • Accommodation in the university dormitory or with a host family
    • Souvenirs of the program
    • Welcome and farewell reception parties

    • Program costs are determined in cooperation with the client and are based on program content, details, number of field trips, etc. Global Education Services does not publish its prices so that our clients may price programs appropriately for their students or marketplace.
